Direct Debit Terms and Conditions

By proceeding to set up your Direct Debit with GoCardless, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. You authorise Galactic Solutions and/or Galactic Communications (“we”, “us”) to debit your nominated bank account in accordance with your GoCardless authorisation for payment of your ongoing services.

  2. We will provide at least 14 days’ written notice if we propose to vary any terms of your direct debit arrangement.

  3. You must provide at least 5 business days’ notice in writing if you wish to defer, alter, or cancel any debit arrangement.

  4. Requests to stop or cancel a direct debit must be made in writing to Galactic Solutions and/or Galactic Communications at least 5 business days before the next scheduled payment date, or as otherwise stated in your services agreement.

  5. If you believe a debit has been made incorrectly, please contact Galactic Solutions and/or Galactic Communications first. We will investigate and seek to resolve the issue promptly. If the matter cannot be resolved, you may contact your financial institution, which will begin a formal claims process.

  6. Some bank accounts do not allow direct debit transactions. You should confirm with your financial institution that your nominated account supports direct debit through the Bulk Electronic Clearing System before proceeding.

  7. Before completing your GoCardless authorisation, please ensure that your bank account details are accurate and match those shown on your most recent bank statement.

  8. You are responsible for ensuring that sufficient cleared funds are available in your nominated account on each due date to allow payment to be processed.

  9. Direct debit payments will be processed monthly following the issue of your invoice, but not before the invoice due date.

  10. If a payment is returned unpaid by your bank, you authorise us to reattempt the debit. A $15 (ex GST) failed direct debit fee will apply, in addition to any terms outlined in your services agreement.

  11. We will keep your personal and financial details confidential. However, if you lodge a payment dispute, we may be required to share relevant information with our financial institution, your financial institution, or their representatives to facilitate resolution.

  12. By proceeding, you confirm your understanding that Galactic Solutions and/or Galactic Communications will use GoCardless as its payment processor, and that your direct debit authorisation will be established and managed through GoCardless.
